At the heart of Changing Places is a simple belief: local people should help shape local opportunities. Through community conversations, events, activities and surveys, we are gathering ideas, experiences and aspirations from across North West Leicestershire. Whether you are an artist, community group, organisation or resident, your voice can help influence the future direction of arts and culture in our area.
How To Get Involved
Changing Places is a community led project, and local people will help shape every stage of the journey.
Our first step is listening. Throughout the summer, we are collecting views, ideas and feedback through surveys, community conversations and engagement activities across North West Leicestershire. We want to understand what matters to local people, what creative opportunities they would like to see, and what would encourage more people to get involved.
Once we have gathered and analysed this feedback, we will begin developing projects and activities based on what local communities tell us. Later this year, there will be opportunities for residents, artists, community groups, schools, businesses and organisations to take part in project development and help bring new ideas to life.
This is just the beginning. Over the coming years, Changing Places will support new creative opportunities, community projects and cultural activities shaped by the people of North West Leicestershire.
